Water JPI Advisory Boards renewal

The Water JPI is assisted in its work by two groups of advisors who sit on the Water JPI Advisory Boards; a Scientific and Technological Board (STB) and a Stakeholders Advisory Group (SAG).

5TOI NEXUS think tank meeting in Venice

The NEXUS Think Tank meeting took place in Venice on October 24th, 2018. The Think Tank discussed the latest project outputs in energy water, food challenges and their nexus in the Mediterranean area.

Water JPI Privacy Policy

A new version of the Water JPI Privacy Policy, in line with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), has been adopted the last October and it replaces the its first edition of May 2018.

New Inspire geoportal launched

On 18 September 2018, the European Commission presented the new INSPIRE Geoportal offering easier access to spatial data in the EU. The redesigned portal is a one-stop shop for public authorities, business and citizens to discover, access and use data sets related to the environment in Europe.

Call for proposals new Atlas project on water-energy-food and ecosystem Nexus in the Mediterranean

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Global Water Partnershipfor the Mediterranean (GWP-Med) have joined forces to address the complex nexus between the water, energy, food and ecosystem sectors in the Mediterranean region. The three organisations are currently preparing a joint "Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus"publication in the form of a Nexus Atlas.

We-Need project

Freshwater access is fundamental in key aspects of human life. Groundwater is a strategic resource for drinking water supply and is essential for ecosystem quality, energy and food security. This natural resource is endangered by several factors, including over-exploitation and contamination by anthropogenic activities.

Imdroflood project

The World Water Development Report 2018

The 2018 edition of the World Water Development Report (WWDR 2018) seeks to inform policy and decision-makers, inside and outside the water community, about the potential of nature-based solutions (NBS) to address contemporary water management challenges across all sectors, and particularly regarding water for agriculture, sustainable cities, disaster risk reduction and improving water quality.

Water JPI Management Board meeting – Stockholm, Sweden - 24 May 2018

The Water JPI held its 16th Management Board meeting in Stockholm with the main objective to progress on decisions taken by Governing Board members during their meeting in Cyprus on 9 May 2018, in particular next steps for the renewal of our Advisory Boards, and remaining issues related with the sustainability of the initiative.
