Water JPI Funded Project PERSIST: Special Issue on Pharmaceutic Compounds and Groundwater

The three principal investigators of the Water JPI funded project PERSIST, Prof. Josep Mas-Pla, Prof. Corinne Le Gal La Salle and Prof. Christine Stumpp, are promoting the Water journal Special Issue covering the topic of Pharmaceutic compounds, as emerging organic contaminants, and their occurrence and transport in groundwater: sources, reactions and fate.

This topic focused on recent contributions dealing with groundwater Emerging Organic Contaminants pollution, especially pharmaceutical products, which have recently come to be of major concern, in contrast with pesticides or other chemicals that have already been studied for many years.
