12th Micropol & Ecohazard Conference 2022

The 12^th Micropol & Ecohazard Conference will be held from June 6th to 10th, 2022 in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain). This conference is part of the IWA Specialist Group “Assessment and Control of Hazardous Substances in Water” conference series, which are conceived as an international forum for discussion on the state of the art in scientific development and technical solutions concerning emerging pollutants emission, treatment and effects.

Some of the main topics included are: i)treatment at the source, ii)monitoring & analysis, iii) fate & behavior during wastewater and sludge treatment, iv)environmental & risk assessment, v)monitoring & control, and vi)prioritization/regulation & public acceptance. Additionally, other themes are considered such as biotransformation mechanisms, fate of nanoparticles, antibiotic resistance or microplastics in natural as well as engineering environments, etc.
