Climate Change 2021: the Physical Science Basis, the Working Group I contribution to the Sixth Assessment Report

The Working Group I contribution to the Sixth Assessment Report, Climate Change 2021: The Physical Science Basis is now out.  The report addresses the most up-to-date physical understanding of the climate system and climate change, bringing together the latest advances in climate science, and combining multiple lines of evidence from paleoclimate, observations, process understanding, and global and regional climate simulations.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is now in its sixth assessment cycle, in which the IPCC is producing the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) with contributions by its three Working Groups and a Synthesis Report, three Special Reports, and a refinement to its latest Methodology Report. The Working Group I report is the first instalment of the AR6. The Synthesis Report will be the last of the AR6 products, currently due for release in 2022.
