MOTREM PROJECT FINAL WORKSHOP
On 23-24 November 2017, a two-day Workshop was hosted by MOTREM Project and REMTAVARES Network jointly. The event was organized by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), IMDEA and Universidad de Alcalá and sponsored by AQUALIA and BRUKER.
The event entitled “Workshop on Technologies for Monitoring and Treatment of Contaminants of Emerging Concern” (http://www.motrem.eu/workshop) took place at URJC campus in Móstoles (Madrid, Spain) with more than 80 attendees and 28 speakers from 4 different nations (Spain, Italy, Finland and Germany).
In this edition, the yearly Workshop organized by REMTAVARES to disseminate their latest results on micropollutants treatment, has included several research works in the frame of the collaborative international consortium WATERJPI 2013 – MOTREM of the Water Challenges for a Changing World Joint Programming Initiative (Water JPI) Pilot Call
Additionally, inside this Workshop, on 24th November a “Training Module on analysis of contaminants of emerging concern” was performed in the facilities of BRUKER at URJC Campus. It consisted of a technical and practical session to introduce the techniques applied to emerging pollutants analysis.
The event, apart from showing the latest results on emerging contaminants treatment and monitoring, served as a meeting point for networking with different European specialists on the topic.
