Assistance for Preparing Innovation Procurement in the Water Sector

A call for interest has been issued by the Water PiPP project, offering assistance to public authorities and water utilities interested in receiving assistance with innovation procurement in the water sector. The call is aimed at public procurers who are interested in preparing or launching a joint PCP or PPI initiative in the water sector between Sept 2015 and December 2016.

Water PiPP (Public Innovation Procurement Policies) is a collaborative project funded by the European Commission to exploring and testing public innovation procurement methodologies in the water sector. It aims to take advantage of public procurement power to accelerate innovation in the water sector. Within this call, Water PiPP is offering support to PPI and PCP procedures including innovation needs identification; prioritisation and description; open market consultation and early engagement; procurement concept liability; resource planning and innovation procurement design; and joint (possibly cross-borders) procurement initiatives.
