WW2017 final review meeting and mid-term AquaticPollutants meeting

The final event of the WaterWorks2017 Project has been held from 31 May to 1st June in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). The event gathered more than 100 participants. The main objective of this final review was to allow project coordinators to present the results of the 18 funded projects to the follow up group. But this event was also the opportunity to meet the coordinators and projects team members, representatives of funding agencies, and early career researchers. This event was held back-to-back with another event, the AquaticPollutants mid-Term Meeting. The organisation of these two meetings allowed creating synergies whilst fostering exchanges between the different funding programmes.

On this occasion, a number of additional events took place including a poster session, a contest for the PhD forum, structured networking, social event, sharing stories…

Following the final evaluation, a showcase event focusing on the valorisation/impact of funded projects will be organised in the fall of 2023 within the framework of the Ecomondo conference. Also, a brochure is currently being developed in order to provide readers updated information on the results of funded projects.
