Nature Restoration Law of the European Commission
The European Parliament has adopted on the 12th July the proposal for a law on ecosystems restoration, which is one of the flagship laws of the Green Deal for the European Union. 336 votes were in favour of the adoption of the draft law, 300 against and 13 abstentions. A vote to reject the Commission’s proposal did not pass (312 votes to 324 and 12 abstentions). The Parliament is now ready to start negotiations with the Council on the final shape of this legislation.
