SMART-Control - free web-based tools to plan and optimize managed aquifer recharge facilities

Online seminar Series starting on 5 April 2022!

SMART-Control - Smart framework for real-time monitoring and control of subsurface processes in managed aquifer recharge (MAR) applications - is a Water JPI project funded under the 2017 Joint Call on “Water resource management in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”, as part of the CSA IC4WATER. The project is running from February 2019 to July 2022. The project consortium consists of nine partners from Brazil, Cyprus, France and Germany and is coordinated by Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. The main objective of SMART-Control is to reduce the risks associated with the application of sustainable groundwater management techniques by developing an innovative web-based real-time monitoring and control system (RMCS) in combination with risk assessment and management tools. The system builds up on the functionalities of the existing groundwater modelling platform developed by the Research Group INOWAS at TU Dresden, Germany.

The developed web-based tools within SMART-Control will be presented in three online seminars. The tools can be used to analyse various processes occurring during managed aquifer recharge (MAR) and simplify the save and sustainable operation of MAR facilities. Online seminar Series starting on 5 April 2022!
