WATER JPI and EIP on water presented in Rome

The annual workshop organized by the Italian “Accademia nazionale dei Lincei” to celebrate the World Water Day focused this year on the economic impact of floods and other water related hazards such as drought. The event gathered as speakers many scientists from the main Italian institutions, research centres and universities dealing with hydro-geological upheaval and the evaluation of its economic and social costs.

International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. On the occasion of World Water Day on 22 March, celebrations and events are taking place worldwide to raise awareness on water issues.(I am not aware of the photos usage policy you use, so please let me know if it is necessary I help with that. The increased globalization of scientific research

Global society operates as a network of creativity and innovation. Indicators of research activities bear witness to an explosion of scientific capacity and a strong trend toward international collaboration. An article by John Sexton published in the journal "Scientific American" shows that the creativity of a nation is supported by international cooperation and many countries see science and technology as a way to build or reinforce their economy. Flood analysis using satellite data
