Workshop on climate change and water scarcity

Representatives of the EU projects CLIMAFRICA, WAHARA, EAU4FOOD, MARS, GLOBAQUA, FIGARO have organized the workshop “Coping with climate change and water scarcity in Africa and Europe: improving monitoring and water use efficiency in agriculture”.
This event will be held in the European pavilion at Expo 2015 on 17 June 2015 in the early afternoon. Registration is available at this link.


Joint EurAqua-WssTP Workshop on Water-related ecosystem services

The European technological platform on water WssTP in co-operation with the European network of freshwater research organisations EurAqua and the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) hosted a workshop titled ‘Water-related ecosystem services: Increasing the relevance of the concept for operational management on various scales


EIP Water Annual Conference

"Boosting opportunities - Innovating Water" is the claim of the European Innovation Partnership on Water, EIP Water in short, led by the DG Environment of the EU Commission and supported by a secretariat. The second EIP Water annual conference will be held on 5 November 2014 in Barcelona and will focus on the theme "Connecting Innovation Demand and Supply". More information on the Conference is here

Final Conference of IWRM-Net

The second common call of the ERANET focused on integrated water resources management funded six European transnational research projects which have come to a close this year. The projects ClimAware, IMPACT, ICARUS, ESAWADI, WATER-2-ADAPT and Water Cap & Trade


The Water JPI session at 3rd Instalbul Water Forum

Organized by the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN), the 3rd Istanbul International Water Forum took place on 27-29 May, 2014. Over 3.000 registered participants from various countries showed interest in eight thematic sessions and twenty one side events of the Forum.


Release of the SIPE-RTD Web Portal

The SIPE-RTD Web Portal serves as a knowledge brokerage tool, linking EC Policies to European Standards related to (monitoring of) the environment, as well as to EU funded RTD results potentially in support of the development and implementation of such Standards.
